St Fagans to Host Wedding Showcase on Welsh Day of Love

One of South Wales’s leading wedding destinations is to hold a wedding showcase on the most romantic day of the Welsh calendar – Sunday 25th January, also known as St Dwynwen’s Day.  Whether you’ve recently got engaged over the Christmas holidays or you’re in the early stages of planning a wedding, all are welcome to come and view the historic site as a potential wedding venue.

The wedding showcase is designed to allow brides and grooms the chance to meet all the team within one of its historic buildings in order to view what St Fagans has to offer .

Selected suppliers including Cwtch The Bride, To Have and To Hire, Byjo Stationery, Forget me not cakes, Prices car hire, Simply bows and chair covers, Alec Garfield Photography, Amanda French flowers, Eluned the Harpist will be on hand to advise and offer inspiration to couples planning their weddings. As well as having access to wedding suppliers, brides and grooms will be able to try some wedding menu samples from specialist heritage caterers, Elior.

The Museum, which caters for wedding ceremonies within two of its historic buildings has a marquee on its castle grounds that can accommodate up to 140-seated guests and provides couples with ample capacity to have a larger wedding within the romantic setting.

The love story of Dwynwen is quite sad…

Due to her sad experience Dwynwen asked God to fulfill the hopes of true lovers. Her wish came true, and so she spent her life in his service.

Be inspired by the History and Culture of Wales, and have a browse at the work of Welsh wedding dress designer Amy Mary Couture, whose influences include the history of the Welsh landscape ….
