Welcome to another new week Cwtchers! Cwtch of the Week this week, captured by the wonderful Lloyd Williams, if a lovely and special moment between siblings. A gorgeously warm moment shared on Stacey and Paul’s big day. Over to bride Stacey to tell us all about their day……
A Sisterly Cwtch
We eventually became Mr & Mrs McFarlane on April 30th 2016. The church where my husband, Paul and I got married in was St Mary’s Church, Coity. A place I always knew I wanted to get married in. Not only my Grandparents got married there, but my parents also married in the same church, and so it only seemed natural for Paul and I to marry there too. This November, my parents will celebrate 30 years of marriage.
The church has a long path leading up to it, and I felt like a million dollars walking up it with my dad. I was calm and collected whilst we strolled up the path, until the church doors opened and I found myself completely overwhelmed!! We were very lucky with the weather and thankfully there were no April showers!
After Paul and I tied the knot, we were congratulated outside the church by our family and friends. This cwtch is a picture of my sister Amee, and I. My sibling, best friend and bridesmaid. Amee lives all the way in Pennsylvania USA, which makes this picture even more special to us both. It symbolises love and happiness and identifies the bond we have between us. Our photographer Lloyd Williams, captured many of these special moments although this one is definitely my favourite. Looking at this picture makes me smile every time I see it. I love getting transported back to that moment and this photo allows me to relive this wonderful memory. Amee clearly looks thrilled and I know she was bursting with happiness and pride the whole day. When the time comes, I can’t wait to be apart of her special day and make more amazing memories to cherish forever.
Oh Stacey and Amee, this is really beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing with us. Made even more beautiful that you still share your bond even though she lives so far away. Wonderful xx
