Cwtch of the Week: Alex, Toby & Teal

This weeks Cwtch of the Week belongs to Alex, Toby and their beautiful daughter Teal.

If you’re an avid Cwtch the Bride reader, you may remember we featured Alex & Toby’s proposal story back in January.

There’s nothing quite like a family cwtch! The expression on daughter Teal’s face is perfect and the incredible sunlight just makes this image even more beautiful!

Alex & Toby tied the knot in Italy a few months ago and we can’t wait to feature their full wedding this Friday!

Alex & Toby-080Many thanks to Sandra Ace Photography for submitting this fabulous Cwtch!

How would you describe your wedding theme? We wanted quite a classic wedding. We wanted our main colour to be navy, and our tables were named after places we want to visit.

What was your favourite part of your wedding? I couldn’t possibly pick – all of it was brilliant. Like being on cloud 9!

Who did you pick as your bridesmaids &/or best man and why? We had mark’s sister Cerys as a bridesmaid, and our oldest best friends as Mark’s best men.

Why did you choose your venue? It’s actually Mark’s mother’s hotel, but it’s also absolutely beautiful!

How did the proposal happen? It was a complete surprise! I was taken for a lovely meal – Mark ordered champagne and when it arrived there was an engagement ring in it!

Any DIY stories/tutorials you’d like to share? Get your mother in law to do it! :)

What was your first dance & why? At Last by Beyonce. We both love her so it seemed like a good choice.

In hindsight, was there anything you would have done differently? I would have tried to remember my veil and probably not had my toddler there while I was getting ready! (As that was the reason I forgot my veil!)

Do you have any advice for future couples? Take some time during the day to be alone and take everything in.

Mark & Emma-107

What’s the best piece of marriage advice you received? To love and respect, always.

What was your favourite thing about planning a wedding? Having all our family and friends together.

Their photographer Sandra had this to say about shooting their day:

On March 24th this year two of my very good friends, Mark & Emma got married in the Chapel that is part of The Cawdor Hotel Llandeilo. Despite the freezing cold weather there were plenty of smiles all round and it was a really great day. Travis, their little superstar, was more than happy to help Mummy and Cerys get ready!!

After the ceremony the celebrations truly got under way. As always, I failed to stay dry eyed during Mark’s speech as in front of everyone who was special to them both he declared his love for his new wife and soulmate. The best men then had me and the rest of the wedding party in hysterics as they told of all Mark’s not so finest moments shall we say!
