How did your Husband to Be propose?

He used the dog! The dog had a note in his collar and was going crazy. I knelt down to get the note, and the dog knocked me over, so I ended up being proposed to on the kitchen floor!

At home unexpectedly after going for a lovely meal, David got down on one knee and popped the question!

Our story is very romantic, snow began to fall during our 1st kiss and everything! Chris proposed at a family BBQ, he got down on one knee in the middle of the street and a black cat came up to him and brushed against his leg, our boys made up a ring out of a hair band. Not bad for a 1st date!

It was the day before my 25th birthday (22/12) on the highest turret in Castell Coch, complete surprise – he hadn’t told anyone!

Natalie Stewart 1Natalie S

He took me to the Ritz in London for a meal. He got down on one knee and produced a Tiffany. He had chosen the ring with his Mother the week before.

He took me glamping in Cornwall. Im afraid of heights and he made me climb to the top of Tintagel Castle! I nearly ruined it by getting someone to take a photo just before he asked, he was already on one knee!

On holiday in Mexico on the last night of our two week holiday. Scott had planned lots of romantic day trips – however didn’t end up doing it until the last night walking back to our room, he plucked up the courage to get on one knee!

On a train by Newport! Very romantic. He’d planned to propose on the weekend away in Manchester but realized it would be happening in England so quickly proposed on the train whilst still in Wales.

On valentines day this year he wrote in my sons sandpit and when I went outside, he asked me to have a look inside – massive surprise.

He gave me his bank card and told me to go buy a ring.

He took me to Diamond Centre Wales on our 5 year anniversary to pick out my engagement ring and a couple of months later he took me for a walk on a drizzly Saturday afternoon to Roath Park and proposed in front of the clock tower which is one of our favorite places in Cardiff. Even though I knew it was coming, I was still shocked!

Now that’s quite a mix of different proposal styles there! Get involved and tell us your proposal story below!

Falling in Love: Part 2

A little while back we asked via our Facebook page for readers to get in touch telling us how they met their other halves. We had an amazing response and have some lovely stories to share with you all. Back in June we told you how Hannah met Dan and we are back this week with another amazing story.

In the second part of our series on falling in love we hear from reader Beth who met her husband to be through a wrong phone number – if you believe in fate I think you’ll agree this was it!

I hope you enjoy reading about it, if you have a story about how you jumped in with both feet and fell in love we would really like to hear it.

How Beth met Nathan

On January 5th 2010 I received a text from a random number out of the blue and I replied politely saying “Sorry you have the wrong number”, a message came back saying “Who’s this then?” and this was the start of a month of phone calls and text messages. We couldn’t believe it when we found out that we lived 15 minutes from each other!! It was my birthday on the 13th of February (the day before Valentine’s day) and I received a massive bunch of flowers and two cards from Nathan.

We decided to meet each other for the first time on the 15th of February as I wanted to thank him in person for the flowers. We arranged to meet outside Costa Coffee at the MacArthur Glen retail outlet in Bridgend, when I first saw him it hit me like a brick wall: I knew there and then that I was going to marry him! He’s told me the same since!

We got engaged on Christmas Eve 2011 in front of Winnie the Pooh at Disneyland Paris, it was the most amazing moment of my life! I had absolutely no idea he was going to do it! When we first got to Disneyland I wanted to go straight to see Winnie the Pooh but Nathan wouldn’t let me :( little did I know what he had planned! We waited in line for 20 minutes for Pooh bear on Christmas Eve, Nathan handed my camera to another person waiting in line and I had my photo taken with Pooh bear on my own then Nathan took off his coat and walked towards me, it was absolutely freezing!!! He grabbed my hands and I could feel he was shaking like a leaf, he told me that he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and that I completed his life. The ring was absolutely gorgeous and he had designed it himself! Luckily the person with my camera had kept on snapping without me realising and I was amazed that I got this photograph of the moment.

We moved into a new house in March 2012 and have been saving for our wedding ever since.

Thank you Beth for getting in touch with your beautiful story, good luck with all of your wedding plans!

We hope it all comes together for you soon,
