Introducing the New Brides and Groom To Be Winners!

As, you know, through December and January, we ran a competition to find our new 2017/18 Bride and Grooms to Be bloggers!

We received hundreds and hundreds of entries, but we have managed to find 8 amazing new bloggers who are ready to tell you all their planning stories.

Whether it is exciting news, annoying news, joyous stories or ‘about to pull my hair out if the parents don’t stop going about inviting Auntie Maureen whom I’ve never met’ stories, they’re hear to tell you all.

They are ready to share and inspire and we are so excited to have a new batch of wonderful writers in the Cwtch the Bride family.

Over the next few weeks, we will be giving you an in-depth introduction to them all, but for now, feast your eyes on your new brides and grooms and their new name – each should give you a clue about their story!!

Competition: Become our Next Blogger!

Time is running out to enter our competition to find our next bride or groom to be contributor. All entries must be in by 31st August. Here are all the details…

Competition

Last year we ran a competition to find a new Bride or Groom to Be contributor, now that our winning two brides are tying the knot themselves we are on the hunt for a brand new blogger to follow in the footsteps of myself, Cath, Claire and Victoria.

Cwtch Girls

How to Enter

This is nice and simple, we want to know how you write and how gorgeous your photos are going to be. Write a post introducing yourself and your other half, describe the proposal and tell us a little bit about your theme, but save the details for if you win! We would also like details of your photographer if you have already chosen one.

Email your post to charlie@cwtchthebride.com with around 5-10 accompanying photographs.

The Rules

Don’t worry there aren’t many!

  • All entries must be received by 31st August
  • In order for our readers to have time to get to know you we are limiting entries to couples getting married between May and September 2016. Apologies to all you winter brides! (We always love a proposal story/engagement shoot though so if you would like to feature- get in touch!)
  • If you win you must be willing to write one post a month up to your wedding and allow us to have the exclusive feature of your wedding on Cwtch the Bride
  • There has to be a Welsh connection!

And that’s it! We don’t care if you are male or female, traditional or off-beat, we just want you to connect with and inspire our readers.

Get writing! If you need some inspiration here are the entries from our winning brides last year:

Its our 2nd Birthday!

534 blog posts later and here we are celebrating our 2nd birthday. I launched this lovely little welsh wedding blog two years ago today and what a wonderful journey its been so far.

There are so many things I love about this crazy little project. Firstly, I NEVER thought it would grow as fast as it has. I’m continulally blown away with the amount of positive comments it continues to recieve (one of my favourite being a lady that walked straight up to me at a wedding fair, gave me a massive cwtch telling me how much she loves the blog, that she’s found all her suppliers through it and hopes we’ll feature her wedding afterwards… of course we will!) Another was a message from Richard from Aurora to say he’d booked a wedding in Jamacia and the bride found him on this here blog! You can take a look at the wedding here:

BRILLIANT! I love that we are helping both couples & local businesses.

As our team grows and I continue to develop the blog, I look forward to the year ahead with some great things planned.

  • CWTCHFEST: We are organising Wales’ first wedding festival on Sunday 19th April.
  • LUSH LIST: An online directory of Wales’ finest wedding suppliers (Launching tomorrow eek!)
  • Our Studio: We’ve finally moved from my dining room into a new studio space and we LOVE it! (more details on this coming soon)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone that has either worked with me on this blog, read one of our posts, shared one of our links, liked one of our images, booked a supplier we’ve recommended, submitted their wedding and invested in this. WE LOVE YOU ALL! (not in a creepy way… more a ‘come here and let us give you a massive cwtch’ kind of way).

An extra special thank you goes out to my girls… these ladies are super special to me and I’m so proud I get to work with them on this. Charlie, Anna, Sophie, Kate & Pippa. THANK YOU!

Lets celebrate!
