You know that moment when you watch someones wedding film and rather than yawn you get goosebumps? Yeah… this is one of them! and you know when the guy that made the film happens to be really young and oozing a ridiculous amount of talent that it kind of annoys you (haha)… yeah…. Meet Ben Walton folks! He’s flipping awesome!
I’ve personally had the pleasure of working with Ben. We both shot a wedding together a few years back. I think he was half my age then (mannnn that makes me feel so old to type that!)
Anyhow, today, I want to share with you one BEAUTIFUL wedding film. Seriously, I shed a tear and think you might too. The Father of the Bride’s speech alone warrants a tissue. There is so much I love about this wedding. I’m just gutted I didn’t get to photograph it ~ Maria
Adam & Zoe’s Welsh Seaside Wedding
Adam & Zoë’s wedding was set on the coast in the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Preperations & ceremony took place in the town followed by the reception slightly set back off the coast at Nanteos Mansion. A great venue, surrounded by fields, rolling hills & sheep.
Carl and Annabelle’s chose the stunning Hilton Court Gardens in Pembrokshire as their wedding venue in August 2013. Ben Walton was on hand to capture the day in motion, check out their beautiful wedding video below! :)

We’ve got another fabulous wedding video to share with you all today :) Wells & Louise shot by Ben Walton.
We asked Ben for a little info about himself and this is what he said…
I’m originally from Hertford just North of London, but moved to Pembrokeshire in West Wales when I was 6 – a great place to grow up, spending about 99 percent of my childhood outdoors, on my bike and climbing trees!
I have many reasons for choosing to film weddings. Firstly of course because I love making films and capturing those parts of your day that you will never see again! Those little moments that may seem insignificant at the time, and you’ll probably think “why on earth is he filming that” but as you look back at what I’ve captured you’ll hopefully be amazed at how I interpret it and edit it together into your wedding film.
One of my favorite parts of filming weddings is meeting new people, I love the fact that by the end of the wedding I will have gained at least two friends and shared one of the most memorable days of their life with them. I feel so privileged to be able to do that.
I’ve won 7 different awards for my film making over he last 3 years. Firstly in a South Wales competition I won “Best Camera work” and “Best Sports Film” three years running. Then in April this year I was shortlisted in the British Student Film Festival in two categories, Best Film (UK Schools) and “Best Sound Production. I then went on to win “Best Film out of the UK Schools” at the awards ceremony in London at the end of April, which was quite frankly, AWESOME!
We’re really looking forward to featuring more of Ben’s beautiful videos on the blog soon! In the meantime you can find some more of his work here :)
