One of the popular features of the day was the DIY tent where several talented people held some really interesting and useful DIY Workshops. This post is to say a HUGE THANK YOU to these incredible people and to those of you who attended and enjoyed the sessions. Some of you loved them so much you came back and attended all of them :)

Naturally Crafty – Jam Jar Crafting

Upcycling Jam Jars is a stylish and cost effective way to add that personal touch to your wedding day. At Cwtchfest, Sam from Naturally Crafty demonstrated how to make a variety of venue decorations and favours from simple jam jars. Loads of you got involved and came away with some new skills, ideas and your own hand crafted jam jars! JZ0C3731
Sam Littlefair got married in 2014 and her DIY wedding featured on Cwtch the Bride. She now runs a handcrafted gift and wedding hire company, Naturally Crafty.

Best Man Beacon – Speech Writing

Our Best Man contributor Baz from Best Man Beacon ran a laid back speech writing workshop giving tips to the grooms and best men in attendance.  We think they all had a good time!

The Flower Hive – Making Buttonholes

Eva is owner of The Flower Hive, based in Pencoed, close to Cardiff where she grows a wonderful selection of traditional cottage garden flowers  grown in accordance with organic and bio dynamic principles.

At her workshop the attendees learned how to design and make their own unique buttonholes using spring flowers and hedgerow foliage.

Kate Petersen – Homemade Photobooth Props

Kate our Homemade bride was helping you to create your own selection of photo booth props for your wedding with a bit of assistance from our Vintage Bride Sophie. JZ0C3805
The moustaches came out and everyone seemed to have a good laugh with their homemade props!  Kate Petersen has worked in the wedding industry for many years as a hair and make up artist and maker of exquisite headpieces and beautiful bouquets.

All Sewn Up – Festival Bunting

Making your own bunting for your wedding day is a fantastic way of adding your own personality to the venue.  You could even arrange a hen party to get your best friends involved in making it with you?
At Cwtchfest, Helen from All Sewn Up demonstrated how to make simple bunting and gave ideas of how to use it. Some of you had a go and made some by machine.  The All Sewn Up Workshops are based in Swansea, on the edge of Gower and run by award winning designer Helen Rhiannon.

Massive thank yous to all involved in the DIY workshops, we have many more thank yous to make but we will keep them for a separate post.

CWTCHFEST 2016 is already in the planning. We have a new amazing venue and it will be even bigger and better so watch this space!
