We’re absolutely thrilled here at Cwtch the Bride to be able to introduce the newest member of the past brides team: Pippa! She’ll be joining us as our ‘Luxury Bride‘, and will be offering advice and tips on how to add a little luxury to your wedding without going completely over budget! :) If you think she looks familiar you’d be right, we featured her engagement shoot not long ago! Over to you, Pippa. Welcome to the team!
Ooo…so where do I start my lovely ‘Cwtchers’? Well, maybe with some of the things I love…
- My husband
- My bonkers family
- Dim sum
- Diamonds (who doesn’t?)
- The freshest seafood & rarest of fillet steak
- The colour blush
- Anything in that little blue box
- Of course shopping
- Quirky vintage finds
- BIG HAIR
- and Sex & the City over oodles of vino and giggles with my girlfriends!
Well that’s me, Pippa, your “Luxury Bride” (the snob in me is secretly loving that title). I married my handsome husband, Mr P, on a glorious sunny day in amongst the Brecon Beacons in August 2013. I loved every minute of the day, (well weekend – never one to waste an opportunity to prolong the party), the planning and everything in between.
We were so lucky to have a healthy budget to play with (but there was most definitely still a budget) so were able to plan our dream wedding and I was able to wear some fantastic designers. To round it all off we enjoyed a two week honeymoon in Bali…bliss!
Now I feel I must confess early on to all you lovely ‘Cwtchers’ that I am VERY particular (well fussy really) about EVERYTHING so naturally not being able to relinquish any control, I took on the role of wedding planner, event coordinator, venue-stylist, personal shopper, seamstress (should I go on?) in order to have input in every aspect of our day.
Gosh…reading that I sound like a nightmare. I promise I’m not but I’m sure there are many of you lovely ‘Cwtchers’ out there (at least I hope there are) that are like me and want everything just right, so I am openly admitting it now…it’s ok to be a bit ‘Bridezilla’ and you are not alone!
You can read more about Pippa on her bio page – and you won’t have to wait long for her first post, it’ll be on the blog tomorrow! Hint: if you like shoes then you’re not going to want to miss it ;)
